Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies are used, for example, to remember your choices, for statistics and to show relevant adverts.
We only use cookies that are not strictly necessary if you have given your consent. On your first visit you can choose which types of cookies to accept:
- Necessary: make the website work and remember your cookie choices.
- Preferences: remember, for example, your choice of language.
- Statistics: help us understand how the website is used so we can improve it (Google Analytics).
- Marketing: used to show relevant adverts and measure whether they work (Google Ads and Meta/Facebook).
Maps from Google Maps and videos from Instagram are only loaded when you click on them yourself. Until then, no cookies from Google or Instagram are set.
Our booking, webshop and fishing licences are provided by Danplanner on booking.hvalpsundcamp.dk and portal.hvalpsundcamp.dk. When you use them, Danplanner may set the cookies needed for the booking to work.
Change or withdraw your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with the button below. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.
Overview of cookies
The overview below is updated automatically by our cookie tool (Cookiebot), so it always shows the cookies the website uses.
Personal data when you book
When you book a pitch, a cabin or a seasonal pitch, buy in the webshop or write to us, we process the information needed to give you a good stay:
- name, address, phone number and email
- number of guests and, if relevant, the age of children
- dates, pitch or cabin and other booking details
- the registration number of your car, so we know who may drive through the barrier
- payment information
Why, and on what legal basis?
- To provide your stay: booking, arrival, payment and contact during your stay. The legal basis is our agreement with you (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- To comply with the law: for example bookkeeping rules. The legal basis is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Newsletters to seasonal guests: practical information about your seasonal pitch and life on the site. The legal basis is the seasonal pitch agreement (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Newsletters with offers and marketing: only if you have said yes. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), and you can always unsubscribe.
- CCTV: to prevent and solve theft, vandalism and other incidents on the site. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting guests and property (Article 6(1)(f)).
Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data. We use a few regular partners who process data on our behalf and on our instructions:
- Danplanner (booking, webshop and till system)
- Nordicway (website hosting)
- Google Workspace (email)
- the payment providers Nets and Quickpay when you pay by card
If you have consented to marketing cookies, the website shares information about your visit with Google and Meta. This may mean that data is transferred to countries outside the EU. This happens under the EU rules on international transfers, for example the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long do we keep your data?
We only keep your data for as long as necessary:
- Bookings and guest history: for up to 10 years after your most recent stay, so we can help you when you come back – for example to find out when you last stayed with us. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in giving regular guests good service (Article 6(1)(f)). If you would like your data deleted sooner, just write to us.
- Payments and invoices: for at least 5 years from the end of the financial year in which the stay took place, as required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
- Seasonal guests: for as long as you have a seasonal pitch with us, and then under the same rule as bookings.
- CCTV recordings: deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest, unless a recording is needed in a specific case, for example by the police.

You have the right to:
